Our Shared Values
🤝 Transparency 💬 Respect 🌐 Connection
As a member of our dance community, you agree to uphold these values to help create a welcoming, respectful, and connected space for all, in and out of the dance floor. These principles guide our behavior and interactions both on and off the dance floor. As individuals and as an organization.
Rhythm Vibes Political Stance
From RV organization we are not in a position to judge how other people behave and act, but we will establish our own boundaries based on our beliefs and our core values.
At RV, we believe dance is a universal language of connection, respect, and humanity. Our community is built on inclusion, empathy, and love — values that transcend borders and backgrounds.
We stand firmly against all forms of violence, war, oppression, and genocide.
We reject and condemn any regime, organization, or individual that supports, promotes, or enables such actions.
Our events are safe, respectful spaces where everyone is expected to uphold these values.
Anyone who expresses or supports ideologies that contradict this stance — including the justification of violence, discrimination, or dehumanization — will be denied entry or expelled from our spaces.
By participating in our events, you agree to honor these principles and contribute to a community rooted in peace, respect, and shared humanity.
Code of Conduct
1. Personal Boundaries
I respect my fellow dancers’ physical, emotional and social boundaries.
Boundaries may be unique for each person and must always be honored. Physical closeness in dance does not imply intimacy or romantic interest.
🟦 I agree to honor each other’s personal space and emotional comfort.
2. Consent
I have the right to say no to a dance and I respect when others say no to me.
“No” is a complete sentence. Consent is required not just to start a dance but also to continue, especially when introducing new movements.
🟦 I agree that consent is mutual, continuous and respected without question.
3. Inclusion
I welcome dancers of all identities, backgrounds and levels. Everyone deserves a chance to connect, grow, and share joy through dance.
On the dance floor we are all equal.
🟦 I agree to foster a space where everyone feels seen and included.
4. Role Flexibility
Leading and following are not defined by gender or appearance. I can dance in either role with anyone, as long as we both consent.
🟦 I agree that connection comes from mutual choice and shared experience.
5. Feedback
I will not critique others unless they request feedback. Teaching during social dances is discouraged. If I witness unsafe behavior, I will speak with an organizer or instructor.
🟦 I agree to honor each person’s learning process.
6. Dips, Lifts & Tricks
I will communicate clearly before attempting any moves that involve extra support or weight-sharing. These require explicit consent and mutual trust.
🟦 I agree that safety and consent go hand in hand.
7. Privacy
I will not take or share photos/videos of others without permission. I respect everyone’s right to enjoy the dance floor free of unwanted exposure.
🟦 I agree to protect each other’s boundaries online and offline.
8. Spatial Awareness
I am not dancing alone. I will check before making a move if there’s space to do it, so that I don’t injure my partner or other dancers.
🟦 I agree to protect each other’s physical space.
